What is Background Check?

Background checks allow our customers a deep look at an individual's background, giving you the information you need to feel confident that your potential date, neighbor, caretaker or business partner is who they say they are. When to get a Background Check?

Having a background check done on a client or potential employee can be very helpful. It can ensure you are getting a good client or employee and won't have to worry about problems later on down the line. However, a background check can take a lot of time so you want to be strategic when it comes to choosing who to have a background check on. While each situation is going to be different depending on the job or the client the general rule is that you should do a background search on clients or employees that you will be investing more time and resources in. This way you can be sure you are making a sound investment.

When you are first approached by a client or potential employee you can usually get by with just a quick check of their resume or website. Talk with them over the phone or in person to get a feel for their personalities. Depending on the client or the employee you may want to do a minimal search before progressing just to be on the safe side.

Once you have set up a deal with the client or employee then you should verify the identity of the companies on the resume. You can usually do this with free resources such as a web search to make sure there are no warning signs. However, if you want a more comprehensive review rather than a simple free search you should hire a professional to look into it in depth for you.

Once the agreement has been signed you will want to do the majority of your background check to ensure you have a contract that will be legitimate. Make sure the client or employee is who they claim to be and confirm that the signature is theirs. Once you have all this in place then you can go forth knowing you have a good client or employee.
